Reach The Periphery
Services go into the communities that need them, not only into central hospitals. If a village has no clinic within reach, that is where the camp goes.
Ongoing, KP wide

Loading Sehat Sitara Welfare OrganizationSehat Sitara, meaning Health Star, works across the periphery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It brings together practising doctors, trained community volunteers and a small governing board around one guiding commitment, that no patient is lost between diagnosis, referral and follow up.
Unlike organizations built around a single donor, every camp, campaign and seminar here is resourced by our own members, participating doctors and community contributions. Where we work with outside institutions, including MERF and the Bloomberg School of Public Health, it is for technical guidance and never for funding.
Our volunteers are called Sehat Sitaray. They are trained to organize, mobilize and follow up in their own areas, which means a camp does not end when the tent comes down. The register stays open until the cases seen have been referred onward and their status recorded.
No patient should be lost between diagnosis, referral and follow up.
We exist to close the gap between a diagnosis made in a village and the treatment that should follow it. Services go into the communities that need them rather than waiting in central hospitals, local Sehat Sitaray are trained to organize and follow up in their own areas, and our doctors donate clinical time rather than the organization purchasing it, keeping costs low and community trust high.
Reach the periphery. Trust the volunteer. Keep the register honest.

Household levelWhere a programme benefits from outside expertise we partner for it, without ever ceding delivery ownership of the work itself.
